...Manhattan's Marble Collegiate Church by the Rev. Dr. Norman Vincent Peale. Julie wanted the wedding to be quiet, private and as small as possible. Only 500 family and friends were at the church, while Ike and Mamie watched over closed-circuit TV from his suite at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, D.C.
