...first of the series of tryouts to determine who will represent the University in the debate with Boston College will be held Monday at 7 o'clock in Harvard 1, it was anounced last night by A. F. Reel '28, president of the Debating Council. The subject for the debate is "Resolved: That Al Smith is eminently qualified for the presidency." The competition is open to all undergraduates in good standing. All candidates will be expected to prepare a five minute speech on the subject, taking either the affirmative or negative side of the question...
