Cambridge City Councillor Kenneth E. Reeves ’72, who was in the audience, questioned whether it was important to focus on students and parents who would be upset by a mandatory assignment.
Councillor Kenneth Reeves asked City Manager Robert Healy if officials had identified specific areas in Cambridge that were more likely to be attacked.
Raising his voice, Reeves said he thinks Cambridge still has problems.
“We have a school system that’s failing kids wholesale and retail,” Reeves said. “If you don’t think everything’s all right, I would appreciate your number one vote.”
