Seventeen minutes into the game, Oberg displayed the type of heads-up play which makes him so valuable. With Harvard leading 3-0 on Charlie Bott's first of two field goals, the ref called a penalty on B.U. deep in Terrier territory along the right sideline but let play continue until B.U. controlled the ball on the other side of the field. As the Terriers sauntered back, the ref put the ball in play and Oberg alertly picked it up and ran over the endline untouched for his first try of the season...

Right before the goal, one of the referees prematurely had blown his whistle for a Northeastern penalty, but Norton's tally was ruled good anyway. The ref should have let one of the Huskies out of the penalty box, but no one budged...
