...Peabody Museum of American Archaeology and Ethnology has recently made two very important acquisitions. The first is a valuable collection of pre-historic pottery from the mounds of the Red River region, Arkansas. This pottery which is the gift of Mr. Clarence B. Moare '73, of Philadelphia, Pa., came to the Museum in several hundred fragments. They have now been cemented together, however, and added to the regular exhibit...

...Fogg Art Museum announces an exhibition of Gandhara sculpture, to be shown in the same room with the Oriental paintings during the next two weeks. The exhibition consists of fragments of sculpture made for the most part in the Punjab region of India. The work is done by the descendants of Greek sculptors brought by Alexander the Great to the Punjab at the time of his invasion. These artisans have been employed by Buddhist priests for hundreds of years to decorate temples and shrines in India. All of the work shows a Greek influence which the ages of Oriental schooling...

...opening act of "Believe Me,. Xantippe" takes place in New York City, and the remaining three acts have for their scene the picturesque mountain region of Southern Colorado. The plot deals with the adventures of a lively young American who wagers that he can successfully escape capture by detectives and police officers after he has pretended to commit the crime of forgery. He makes a successful escape, and the chase continues for the greater part of the play, being developed with great originality on the part of the author in a manner that is sure to continuously amuse the audience...

He explains some of the possibilities and difficulties besetting mine development in Alaska, and speaks of the desirability of capital entering this region.
