That the University, with many ambitious playwrights and capable actors, and courses in dramatic training fame of which is international, should have no adequate theatre, has long been a matter of comment and regret. It is therefore gratifying to read that definite steps are being taken to establish a modern theatre for the exclusive use of the University. English 47 has outgrown its Workshop and it deserves a new one, big enough to meet its needs. This valuable course has been too long handicapped by insufficient equipment.
