More men are needed from Claverly, Grays-Weld, Holyoke street, Hollis-Stoughton, and Russell-Hampden. Miscellaneous teams will be made up of those who do not regularly come under any of the above dormitories or streets to which captains have been assigned. Trials for the teams will be held today and Wednesday if necessary, at the regular track squad hours, 11, 12, 3.30 and 4.30 o'clock. Yesterday the Harvard Dining Association started its new system for the benefit of transient as well as regular members. Already the University is commencing to rally to the support of the experiment, for the plan promises to furnish cheaper and better board than ever before. We fully expect that the special provisions will appeal to a new class of men, who, if they do not neglect the opportunities offered, will by their support enable the association to run on a still more economical basis. Regular members, also, should not forget that the $4 a week guarantee is only a temporary...
...University baseball squad has been at work in the cage daily for the past week. All the regular men are practicing now, except H. McCall '09. last year's second baseman, who will not be able to begin work for about a month on account of his broken ankle. The pitchers have been barred curves and will continue to use straight balls for a while. They are all showing a consistent increase of speed. The work of the field candidates is still confined to passing, and to fielding batted grounders. Batting practice for the squad will begin next Monday...
