Since the last cut in the University baseball squad, made two weeks age, the candidates have been holding regular daily practice in the Cage. The work has been elementary, and aimed chiefly at grounding the large number of inexperienced men in the fundamental points of the game. Every afternoon, beginning at 1.30 o'clock, the pitchers and catchers do light battery work, under the supervision of Coach Coburn, followed by batting practice for the fielding candidates.
