Captain Foster, after explaining that he was speaking in place of Head Coach Reid, who had been called to a Football Rules Committee meeting, described the composition, functions, and powers of the athletic committee. The rule debarring Freshmen from University teams, said Captain Foster, was made to prohibit as far as possible the custom of proselyting. This rule also makes class numerals and teams of much higher worth and quality than heretofore.
