There was keen competition in all the events run on the first day of the eighth annual Winter Carnival yesterday. The dashes, hurdles and class relay trials were particularly close. The race between 1914 and 1915 was hard-fought, the Juniors getting the lead in the last four relays and keeping it to the finish. Today the 7-lap race and the finals of the class relay races, 1914 vs. 1917, will be run. The pole-vault has been postponed till tomorrow. The summary is as follows...

The order of events today is as follows: 40-yard dash, 45-yard hurdles, 13-lap race, relay team trials, Seniors vs. Freshmen and Juniors vs. Sophomores, and as many of the field events as possible.
