With the meet on the line. Harvard Track Director Frank Haggerty called on Bunney again in both the Distance Medley Relay and the two-mile relay. In the Medley, Bunney ran the opening leg and gave the Crimson a lead it never relinquished, while in the two-mile relay he ran the second leg and considerably closed the gap between the Harvard squad and the leading Northeastern troops...
What really hurt the Crimson in its bid to retain the Greater Boston title was its futile showing in the relays. The Terriers captured the mile 2 mile and 880 relay races...
...while the Harvard relay teams fell a little short, there were some fine individual performances Sophomore Jenny Stricker easily took the 880 with a time of 2 11 45 while teammate Grace deFries took second. The Crimson duo led from the first crack of the gun and none of the other runners came close...
