...wish to remind members of the University of the second Vesper Service of the year this afternoon. Owing partly to the weather and partly to the lack of due notice, the services were not begun last week as favorably as usual. This service, as Dr. Moxom then said, is characteristic in its simplicity and in the free opportunity for worship which it offers, of the religious life of the University. As such it has always appealed to a large number of students, and we trust that it will continue to do so this year...
Lamson, Wolffe and Co. have issued a pretty little volume in conjunction with John Lane of London. It is called "The Viol of Love," a collection of poems by Charles Newton-Robinson. As a result they were continually making mistakes and wasting their time and energy through ignorance which a timely question...
...hope any such will not fail to notify me by complaints put in the box for that purpose in the hall. I do not very often give personal answers to the complaints but invariably look into the merits of all communications addressed to me. I should like also to remind everybody that the best way to obtain better food, is to send back that which is objectionable, with a brief note to the effect that it is so. The more suggestions there are sent to the directors, the more satisfactorily they may hope to manage...
