...wretched weather and the wetness of the ball. The batting was excellent. It is very encouraging to see the nine hit the ball as easily as they did yesterday, especially when matched against so good a pitcher. With such a marked improvement as has been shown in this respect and also in the base running, we feel confident of success in the future...
