At worst, Jews would teach their children that only other Jews are worthy of their love, respect, and admiration--that people who are different are unacceptable and must be excluded. Are they a new and distinct category of "real" Americans, due the same respectful recognition--and governmental protections--as more familiar groups? Or should they be lumped into the demeaning catchall category of "minorities" or "other"?
