Although Dukakis' proposal to create a Environment Department is well-intentioned, it has possible drawbacks, particularly with respect to water resources. Does the B.U. faculty think Silber is reasonable? Apparently not, given their repeated attempts to oust him. Why then should students try to engage in reasonable discourse with the man or his administration? Silber has proven again and again that he doesn't respect students' right to free speech; faculty members complain that he fires dissenters in their ranks. What could dialogue produce with a man who doesn't want to hear the other side...
