Gallivan played once more on the Eighty-eight team, and the result was felt at once. Eighty-eight braced up and played well at bat and field. There was liberal applause, though Holmes is too vast for a small audience to grow excited in, and only towards the end of the game was there any cheering. The game, however, was well played and interesting. The feature of the game was Gallivan's game at short, accepting ten chances without an error, and making two marvellous one hand catches.
