Mork & Mindy seems an unlikely bet for such exaltation: the program is fundamentally a retread of such tired sitcoms as My Favorite Martian and Bewitched. It tells the story of Mork (Williams), an alien eggplanted, so to speak, from the planet Ork, who settles in Boulder, Colo., with a winsome ingenue, Mindy (Pam Dawber). The secret of the program's runaway success is Williams. He is not only an inspired clown but also a perfect entertainer for TV's mass audience. Mork has the innocence and enthusiasm of a toddler discovering the world. But he is one toddler...
Penn hockey retread and All-Ivy forward Tom Cullity got the eventual game-winner at 1:42 of the final period, as he tipped a Chris Zimmerman slapshot which Crimson goalie Wade Lau tried unsuccessfully to trap between his pads...

...similar retread vein is the road production of The Wiz, now at the Schubert Theater (where it will boogie until September 3). Again, this was one hell of a show four or five years ago. And you'll still have to pay grotesque prices to see this admittedly enjoyable production of The Wizard of Oz gone funky. Is it worth a $9 minimum? We think not. And if Boston's theatrical renaissance keeps going at the present rate, we'll be seeing Tobacco Road, Abie's Irish Rose, and Life With Father real soon. Can't wait...
Grease would be a better movie if Stigwood and Carr had stuck to the basics. They have compiled a fairly impressive group of retread stars to make the era complete; Eve Arden plays Rydell High's Principal McGee, Joan Blondell is Vi, the confidante/waitress type, Edd Byrnes does a good job as Vince Fontaine, host of National Bandstand, and Sid Caesar is a good fascist coach Calhoun. Of course, Sha-Na-Na is there too, as Johnny Casino and the Gamblers, and "everyone's favorite '50s group...
