Student Council interpretation of its recent study on General Education made the program appear considerably more unsuccessful than it really is, Phillip H. Rhinelander '29, executive secretary of the committee on General Education, said yesterday.
Rhinelander, Lecturer in Humanitles 4, added however, that both he and the committee considered the study a "very conscientious, careful job." He said that not only were they considering all its recommendations very carefully, but would welcome a similar study after G.E. develops further.
Luke Lockwood and Fred Rhinelander combined to pitch Eliot to a 4 to 2 win over Dunster, with Nat Harris hurling for the losers. Ron Peyton accounted for two of Dunster's four hits, while Eliot scattered three. In softball, the Dances overwhelmed the Elephants, 23 to 4.
Philip H. Rhinelander '29, secretary of the Committee on General Education, yesterday disclosed the inauguration of Humanities 5, "The Ideas of Man and the World in Western Thought," and Natural Sciences 6, "The Biology of Organisms."
Rhinelander also disclosed that in addition to the four elementary Natural Science courses which are moving into the newly completed Allston Burr Lecture Hall Monday, Natural Sciences 114 will also soon transfer there.
