...these slogans help the Democrats unhorse the Republicans in 1928? The slogan committee of the Woman's National Democratic Club (Washington, D. C.), hoped so. They were announced last week as the best of 800 slogans the committee obtained in its nationwide slogan-motto-jingle-limerick-rhyme con-contest (TIME, Sept. 26). The committee paid $100, $50 and $25 for the above prizewinners, as promised. The Mrs. Hubbard who won first prize is First Vice-President of the Woman's National Democratic Club.
