...YORK, May 9.--The rowing of the Columbia crew today was somewhat hindered by a strong east wind, but the men rowed well together, and put a great deal of life into their work. Coach Rice was dissatisfied with the work of Starbuck at number 4, and Gillies was substituted for him. The boat seemed to go more smoothly after the change.
