...Senior Class met in Upper Massachusetts Hall last Wednesday night for the purpose of electing officers for their Class Day, June 19, 1874. The meeting was the largest ever held by the class, 146 members being present, and was opened by the election of Mr. Richmond as Chairman and Messrs. Merwin, Elwood, and F. J. Stone as Secretaries. The election of officers began with the choice of Orator, and Mr. R. H. Dana, being the only candidate, was elected by acclamation. For Poet the candidates were Messrs. Mackintosh and Fenollosa.
