I'd advise people to go to a teaching hospital because the doctors there are less likely to be bought by big Pharma, and they're more connected to the research. What advice do you have for people in the midst of depression right now? Get enough sleep. Go to bed at the same time every night and wake up at the same time every morning. Exercise: it has an antidepressant effect. I'm not going to be like Tom Cruise and say you won't need antidepressants if you exercise, but it is enough for some people. And watch what you eat.
