...DIED. Anthony Marreco, 90, British barrister and human-rights campaigner; in England. In 1945, Marreco was recruited to the small British legal team prosecuting Nazi war criminals at Nuremberg. During his year at the trial, Marreco became acquainted with the surviving Nazi leaders-including Hermann Göring and Rudolf Hess-and was stunned by the weak defenses they offered for their terrible crimes.
