Princeton scored first, Kuhn getting the initial goal after about six minutes of play on a pass from Baker. Following this Sortwell and Goodale made a desperate attack on Princeton's cage that very nearly resulted in a tally. The puck then see-sawed up and down the rink with Gardner having more stops to make than his opponent at the other end of the Arena, until after 18 minutes had elapsed, Kuhn again scored, this time on a pass from Patterson immediately after a face-off. Harvard's only goal in this half came when a lift by Sortwell...
