...public hall larger than the Mechanics' Building in Boston is to be built in Cambridge on the Cambridge bank of the Charles River Basin, almost midway between Harvard Bridge and the new Boston Bridge. Work on the Charles River Dam, which was begun March 1, 1905, is progressing as rapidly as can be expected. The principal causes for delay have been overcome. All the concrete and masonry work has been completed, and the dam in connection with the look and sluices has been finished.
