Professor W. M. Davis will conduct a geological excursion during the april recess to the abandoned glacial-marginal river channels, "temporary Niagaras," near Syracuse, N. Y. The party will leave Boston at 10.45 A. M., Monday April 18. reaching Syracuse at 7.40 P. M. Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday will be spent near Syracuse, returning to Boston Thursday evening. ...floats at the University boathouse were put out yesterday, and two eights from the University squad went out in barges on the river, for the first time this season. The crews rowed several stretches up and down in front of the boathouse, while Mr. Colson coached, from the float.
