There remains but one week of a fall rowing season which has been most successful in every way. Twenty-two crews, the most ever on the river at one time, were on the river yesterday afternoon, including four University boats, ten Freshman crews and eight of the club shells. ...crews, all of which are taking daily spins on the river, have been formed out of the 95 Freshmen that reported for the fall season. Coach McVicar '15 is looking after the first crews from the dormitories and Coaches Abeles '13, Pirnie '15, Haines, and Manning are teaching the rudiments of rowing to those men who have had no previous experience. The benefit that these Freshmen have derived from fall work is obvious; many of the men who had never been in a boat before are showing up extremely well...
