Indeed, it is difficult to imagine how Robert would have had time for a romantic relationship. As a freshman in Standish Hall (now part of Winthrop House) and later as an upperclassman living at 60 Mt. Auburn St., Robert took six classes and audited a couple more each semester in order to graduate a year early.
