Died. The Reverend Dr. Endicott Peabody, 87, founder (in 1884) and head master emeritus of Groton School; in Groton, Mass. A robust legend to generations of schoolboys, Dr. Peabody retired as headmaster in 1940, was recently the subject of a biography, Peabody of Groton (TIME, Oct. 30).
