Track 2: Chinese Democracy This is what took 14 years. The song actually starts with every person in China talking before there's any music. Then it starts with a riff that sounds a lot like "Rock You Like a Hurricane" by the Scorpions. But then it gets a lot more interesting and catchy and rocks pretty hard. At first, you think it's about democracy in China - and it might be - but I'm guessing it's about a woman who changed for the worse and pissed him off. I like it, but not as much as Better. Grade...
...away from silly mainstream garbage ... no Led Zep and a rubbish headliner instead, this is a double blow." But most posts on this and other forums have been positive, one describing it as "History in the making, Jay-Z will bring a fresh flavour." Noel Gallagher of the Manchester rock-band Oasis, always good for a comment, stirred things further when he opined to BBC News, "If it ain't broke don't fix it...I'm sorry, but Jay-Z? No chance. That's such old-school thinking," he said...
...fence goes up every week in Arizona and California, mile after mile of posts and plates and screens and rails marching across sun-blasted deserts and up rugged, rock-strewn hillsides. No one seems able to keep track of it all. Even agents of the newly reorganized Customs and Border Protection (CBP) department find themselves coming upon sections they've never seen before. The work is less advanced in New Mexico and stalled in Texas, where fierce local opposition has delayed construction--a coalition of border-town mayors and chambers of commerce has sued DHS Secretary Michael Chertoff, alleging...
...found a radio and a car battery to power it, along with garbage from countless meals--beer, soda, fruit cocktail, beans, tuna, sardines, coffee creamer--and blankets, sweaters, gas stoves and propane bottles. The spotters hide in caves on the hillside whenever a chopper flies by (they "rock up," in CBP lingo), but Dart said he had managed to catch three men there the previous month. By the next day, there were signs that a new spotter had arrived...
