Working with a lipid emulsion derived by Rogosin researchers from soybeans, Dr. Joseph Parrillo, a leading authority on sepsis at Chicago's Rush medical center, infected 19 pigs with bacteria containing endotoxin, then infused the Rogosin emulsion into eight of them.
