Meanwhile, two false alarms kept Italy on a kind of roller coaster of stage-managed drama. After an anonymous woman phoned a Rome newspaper that Moro had been released on a coastal road south of the city, police launched a ground and air search that lasted four hours. They found nothing. Next day, after another caller said Moro's body had been stuffed into the trunk of a car near his residence in Rome's Trionfale district, police pounced on that area. Again they came up emptyhanded...

Some classic sequences: Keaton stuttering, giggling, gesticulating outside an indoor tennis stadium, slapping herself in frustration, dithering enchantingly; Allen grimacing in a movie-line at the inane, pretentious chatter of the man in back of him; lobsters, spiders, roller-coasters, cartoons and inventive use of overlapping dialogue (as good or better than Altman's). If you haven't seen it--who are you? If you have, you'll like it even better the second time around...
...tragic emperor gets bogged down in a cycle of sad, mournful, barely audible line-readings followed by maniacal, ear-shattering ranting and ravings. Myers fails to stress the other side of the emperor--the cool, calculating, dispassionate side. After a while, the audience feels like it is on a roller-coaster--one gets the stop-and-start effect, but it's a little difficult to enjoy the scenery. He does show potential in his final soliloquy, as well as in the last moments of the play when he risks his health by falling several feet from a platform, blood dripping...
