Drawn and Quarterly and Fantagraphics both began publishing a series dedicated to showcasing new talent with "Drawn and Quarterly Showcase" and "Blood Orange," respectively. In August Alternative Comics published a follow up to its outstanding 2003 anthology, "Rosetta."
