...ignominy of sitting through Harvard's football game with Massachusetts was, I thought, the worst I would have to endure last Saturday. My indignation rose, however, at the references made to Pine Manor College by the Harvard band during their half-time show. But the feeling was short-lived as I recalled the general appearance of members of the band who I have passed while walking to the Stadium. I had to conclude that the display could have been little more than an exercise in wishful thinking...
