...didn't share a title word, Sunshine Cleaning would likely be compared to Little Miss Sunshine, which came from the same production company. There's the dark humor, the pathos, the suicide theme, the misfit child everyone adores and last but not least, Alan Arkin, who plays Rose and Norah's father Joe. Take away Little Miss's grandpa's deep interest in pornography, and they are essentially the same characters. Arkin's needling charms are intact, but it's a poor casting choice. Other categories in the top 20, as measured by a change in unit sales during the first two months of 2009, include baking mixes and supplies, flour and dough products; people are making brownies instead of buying them. Fresh-meat sales rose 7.3%, vegetables and dry grains were up 5.5%, dry pasta 4.4% and cheese 3.1%. Wine and liquor were also up. What appears to make little sense is that the rally spread to firms that have nothing to do with the financial and banking sector. Intel (INTC) rose 11%.
