Like Trial at Rouen, it will be on a large scale, for Dello Joio, the son of an Italian immigrant, likes to think of himself as a spiritual descendant of Verdi. It is possible that Dello Joio will emerge as the next important grand opera composer. He is already one of the few U.S. composers who can live solely on the income from his compositions...
