...aides had exploited Clinton's gaffe when she inappropriately raised the specter of Robert Kennedy's assassination, that Obama hadn't defended Clinton sufficiently after the disgraceful attack by Father Michael Pfleger from the pulpit of Trinity United Church of Christ, that the Obama campaign had played too rough in the Democratic Rules Committee battle, which granted the disputed Michigan and Florida delegations half representation. There was, more significantly, the lingering conviction that Obama didn't, and couldn't possibly, represent the women like Margaret Dinock who had been empowered by Clinton - that Obama was another iteration of the effete...
Directors often say that their favorite version of one of their films was the 4hr. rough cut; after that, trimming the material down to standard length was like flaying or filleting your baby. Given the expanse of Peter Buchman's script, Soderbergh must have figured he had a story that would take 4 hours to tell and, dammit, that's the movie he'd show here. So the running time is not the problem of this honorable, doomed effort; it's that so many scenes are repetitions of earlier ones. Che has to instill military discipline in his ragtag rebels...
Corporal Steve Wardrobe holds up a globe of freshly sugared fried dough, and uses a syringe from his combat medical kit to inject it with raspberry jam. There's no better cure for a rough day out on patrol, he has learned out here in the wilds of Afghanistan's Helmand province, than a fresh jelly doughnut. "These go down well with the lads," he says. The lads, in this instance, being the medics of D-company, 2nd Battalion of Britain's Parachute Regiment, stationed here at Forward Operating Base Zeebrugge -and the few groupies who have caught on that...

Laputta's buildings are collapsed or roofless, its streets clogged with fallen trees, smashed boats, and the rain-soaked debris of thousands of desperate families. Local aid workers estimate that 12,000 people have died and 3,000 are missing in Laputta town and its immediate surroundings...
...born and which he still represents in the country's parliament. The moniker isn't meant to suggest the new Irish Prime Minister is stupid, because his allies and enemies know that he isn't. Ignorant is rather taken in an Irish sense of the word: ill-mannered, rough, in your face...
