Although the round before the semifinals, the semi-finals, and finals of the tournament must be played at the Harvard Club courts, the preliminary rounds may be played on neutral courts, favorable to both contestants. The championship has been held for several years by C. C. Peabody of the Union Boat Club. This year, however, he will face a very strong field, including Dixon, Wakefield, F. S.
