Interlaken, N. Y., May 24.--The University and Freshman crews arrived this morning. The University eight took a short row on the lake before lunch, although the water was very rough. In the afternoon both crews went out, the University rowing three miles in one stretch at a slow stroke, spacing out well, with a hard finish. The Freshmen also rowed well. The blade work was good and the boat spaced better than usual. All the men are in good condition...

...second University crew will leave on the Federal Express tonight for Philadelphia where it will compete in the ninth annual Henley Regatta of the American Rowing Association, to be held on the Schuylkill River on Saturday. The crew will stay at the house of F. G. Thomson '97, and will row both in the morning and afternoon tomorrow. ...depart for Ithaca on the train leaving Trinity Place station this evening at 6.40 o'clock. They will arrive at Ithaca tomorrow morning. The men will then go directly to their quarters at the Sheldrake Sanatarium, at Sheldrake on Lake Cayuga, 20 miles from Ithaca, and will take a row in the afternoon. Both crews will row at Sheldrake twice on Thursday and Friday and once on Saturday morning. The Freshman race will be held as a preliminary to the University crew race, which will be rowed at Ithaca on Saturday afternoon at 5 o'clock...

...great improvement has been shown in the last week. In addition to the long rows Coach Wray has given the eight practice in maintaining a high stroke for short stretches. He has emphasized turning on the catch and getting the oars into the water quickly and smoothly, with the result that the crew is now able to row 44 strokes to the minute and still space out well...

...Yale University crew will row the first race of its schedule against the University of Pennsylvania on the Connecticut River at Springfield on Saturday, May 13. It was at Springfield that the first eight-oared race between Harvard and Yale was held. The city, at the present time, is making many offers in order that the regatta may be again held there instead of at New London, a change that seems improbable...
