This is a glimpse into the past -- the fall of 1969 -- and into the lives of two Americans abroad, Frank Aller and Bill Clinton. I shared with them a sparsely furnished row house in Oxford. Frank was there to learn about Chinese history and culture; Bill's field, not surprisingly, was political science.
