Plastic Foam. A new sponge-like plastic foam was shown at the National Plastics Exposition in Philadelphia. The makers, Bakelite Division of Union Carbide and Carbon Corp., call it more resistant to flame and chemicals than foam rubber. After a seven month run in New York, Bert Lahr's latest vehicle has come to Boston for three weeks. Two on the Aisle, a series of twenty spearate sketches, shows that vaudeville satire is still funny but that Lahr and his rubber face can be stretched only so far.
