Twenty-seven men reported for the Junior practice. The playing in the line-up was hard, but was marred by fumbling and constant mistaking of signals. The tackling was good, and several times after a runner had broken through he was overtaken and downed. The men did not play together well, and very often the runner did not follow his interference at all. The Juniors will not play a game until they line up against the Seniors on Friday afternoon in the class series...

More than twenty men were out for the Sophomore team. The practice consisted mainly of catching and running back punts, and the fumbling was very bad. The punting itself was good and the men got down the field well, but often missed the runner. In the short line up some improvement was evident, and the backs ran around the ends with good interference but could make little gain in bucking the line. Games will be played this afternoon with the Cambridge High School, and on Thursday with the Cambridge Manual Training School. The game with the Freshmen in the class...

The line is exceedingly strong and has shown ability to resist heavy attacks. The playing of the back-field is also of a very high...

...quarterback position is being filled by de Saulles, who has developed into a brilliant player. He runs the team very commendably, and during the season has made a number of sensational gains in a broken field. Chadwick, right halfback, is the best runner on the team, though Wilhelmi, who has beaten out Hart at left halfback, is nearly as good. Of the men who are trying for fullback, Weymouth is the most reliable. His weight and speed make him particularly valuable in line plunging, and he is also a sharp defensive player...

Tackles back is still Yale's principal formation, but end runs have been used extensively with great success. In this latter style of play the interference is especially formidable, four men preceding and two following the runner. Fake and quarterback kicks have also been employed several times...
