Judging from the large number of men who specialize in the department of Political Economy, it is safe to predict that the formation of an Undergraduate Economics Society will meet the approval and support of a great many undergraduates. It is one of the pleasing signs of the times that the movement for the formation of this society has come from the undergraduates themselves and represents their interest in matters intellectual. It is a sign, too, that the student does not stand aloof, a privileged and disinterested member of society, but shows he is vitally interested in the problems...
...balanced, but somewhat dull and pointless. Mr. Whitman presents a convincing argument in favor of the training furnished by the Harvard Graduate School of Business Administration. While Mr. Whitman is convincing, he is over modest, for, if the training is as useful as he says it is, it is safe to predict that the School will do more for the solution of economic and social problems than all the "social workers" and talking reformers combined, though, doubtless, the talkers would claim the credit for each step in progress...

Although the Harvard and Cornell track teams have come together in numerous intercollegiate meets, they have never met in dual competition. Judging from the strength and versatility shown by the Cornell teams in past years, it is safe to predict that a dual track meet with that College will afford close and interesting competition. For this reason and also because of the close bond in athletic relations bound to result between the Universities, we shall welcome Cornell in the Stadium next spring...
...sudden drop from the average which occurred last year the parallel is still evident; for, accompanying a representation of only 23 per cent. among the men who received their degrees cum laude, the Harvard men had a representation of only 13 per cent. on the Law Review. It appears safe to conclude, then, that the elections to the Law Review offer a fair indication of the relative ability displayed by Harvard men and those from other colleges. The Harvard students in the present third year class have so far made a most disappointing record in the Law School work...
