...WORLD TRADE CENTER BOMBING Five federal cases are being prosecuted in connection with the 1993 attack. While one is set for trial this summer, four have already resulted in convictions--which are being appealed. Of these, it is the case of Mohammad Salameh and three other defendants that has come in for scrutiny. The Bromwich report castigated Williams, then a top explosives examiner, who managed the on-site investigation, saying he "began with a presumption of guilt upon which to build inferences." WASHINGTON, D.C.: The FBI investigation of eight letter bombs disguised as musical Christmas cards has turned toward the federal penitentiary in Leavenworth, Kansas that is home to Mohammad Salameh, one of four people convicted in the 1993 World Trade Center bombing. Says Dwyer: ``He masterminded every detail of the plot, including his own escape, which he pulled off more expeditiously than anyone else.'' Yousef's capture was the culmination of one of the most extensive and painstaking manhunts...

Throughout the tale, he clearly delineated the roles of Mohammad Salameh, Nidal Ayyad, Mahmud Abouhalima and Ahmad Ajaj in the criminal partnership...
After five months of trial, hundreds of witnesses and less than a week of deliberations, a jury convicted all four defendants on all counts in the World Trade Center bombing case. "Injustice!" shouted the lead defendant, Mohammed Salameh, who like the others could be sentenced to life in prison...
