Copley also painted the populist stirrer Samuel Adams, whose writings were pointing the way to the Declaration of Independence. Kevin Harris, a friend of Randy Weaver who was involved in the Ruby Ridge siege, testified Tuesday that U.S. marshals started the gunfight that left William Degan, a marshal, and Weaver's son Samuel dead at Ruby Ridge, Idaho. "Harris is not a very credible witness," reports Elaine Shannon. "His comments came across as being very self-serving.
