McMahon and Sanborn of Tech took the lead early in the University race and held it to the finish. Captain McMahon led Sanborn across the line by about 200 yards, with a time of 34 minutes and 45 seconds. Captain Bemis and Flanders of Tech ran a close race, Flanders winning in the last 15 yards. ...Sanborn reports that work has been done at Gizeh, Memphis and Dendereh. At Gizeh a portion of the extensive necropolis belonging to the period of the Old Empire was cleared.
