Usage:

Where you might expect a movie to also make her sassier, this one makes her, if anything, angrier, more furtive, more darkly funny. Shorn of the competing love interests Larsson gave him in the book, Blomkvist only has eyes for Lisbeth now, which makes him more likeable, but less interesting - a shame because Nyqvist could easily handle the nuance...

...cars with guns - the movie's tag line is "Gentlemen, start your weapons" - and cons with girls. Though the picture doesn't deserve to appear on any critic's 10-best list, it observes the minimum standards of modern action films, which is to say it looks smarter, talks sassier and moves faster than almost anything else on the market...

It was swell, though I might have preferred Encores! to present Hart and Berlin's next revue, As Thousands Cheer, with a richer score (including "Easter Parade" and "Heat Wave") and a sassier tone. Maybe Encores! skipped it because the show was vibrantly revived in 1998 by the New York company The Drama Department, with a cast that included Judy Kuhn, Howard McGillin, B.D. Wong and that giant bear of musical comedy, Kevin Chamberlin...
