When Woods was a teenager, he worked with a hypnotist to help place his mind in the proverbial zone. And given his recent revelations that he's reconnected with Buddhism, it's fair to assume that Woods is doing a fair amount of quiet introspection. Do more of it, say the psychologists. With practice, you can enter an altered, hypnotic state on the golf course, though not to the point where you're barking like a dog on command. "You are aware of what's going on," says Ken Grossman, a Sacramento, Calif.-based hypnotherapist who has worked with many...

...Hail Bernie Re "On the Edge" [March 15]: No matter what his detractors say, Bernie Ecclestone has managed to build and retain a truly world-encompassing empire since the 1970s. It's worth noting that, in the same time frame, Italy, among other countries, has formed dozens of ineffectual governments. ...Belgium, however, the burqa bill has the cautious support of much of the Muslim community. "Nobody likes somebody covered," says Saïd El Khadraoui, a Belgian Socialist member of the European Parliament. "It is wrong to say the burqa is part of Islam - the vast majority of Muslims do not wear it. And it's not a bad idea to give a signal that we need some rules to live together." His sentiments are echoed by Emir Kir, who was born in Belgium to Turkish Muslim parents and is now the Secretary for Public Sanitation and Monument Conservation...
