...Secular scholarship places Christ's real birth at about 3 or 4 B.C. The Christian church has never been very quick to acknowledge poor scholarship--it took the church nearly four centuries to get the heliocentric model of the universe right. ...Maybe I'll be teaching somewhere or teaching a youth orchestra somewhere. But the composition I'd like to keep up, but using my other music skills. I guess with not going to a conservatory school, I really missed the intense teaching aspect. Here, music is geared towards scholarship about music rather than actual playing.
