...University eight appeared on the river last Monday for the first time after their housing during the winter months, - a day earlier than they did last year. The men that pulled were: Crocker, Brigham, Littaner, Jacobs, Stow, Schwartz, Smith, stroke Bancroft, and coxswain Allen; and, considering that it is the first time for three months that they have had oars in their hands, they pulled remarkably well. Several of the Freshmen are well built for rowing, and promise to make good men for the University; and the candidates are, as a whole, equal to the average Freshmen crew. Messrs.
